Great food, huge portions, good selection of beers and lovely staff! Stopped for dinner expecting a standard pub food but was pleasantly surprised to find such high quality menu. The garlic mushrooms starter was spot on and the veggie burger was great as well. Highly recommend!

If you're visiting Ammanford and the Black mountains, a trip to The Raven in Garnant is highly recommended. We arrived early evening, the manager made us feel very welcome and managed to find us a table despite preparing for a booked out night (tip there remember to book in advance) the menu was wide and varied catering for most tastes. When the food arrived it was well presented and very tasty. We will certainly be returning!
Went to Uncle Bob's in the Raven last night for my daughters 30th birthday and had an lovely evening. We were a table of 8, we all had different orders, the food was stunning, good portion size and excellent value. The atmosphere was great, it was a Friday night and the restaurant was full, but the waiting time for food and drinks were minimal. The staff were amazing nothing was to much trouble and they knew the menu and could recommend different dishes. Table service was excellent, staff were friendly and welcoming. If you ever want to eat out where the food is good quality and excellent value I can highly recommend Uncle Bob's, we will definitely be going back again.
Very welcoming place. Lovely food we started with the daily soup, which was mushroom soup. I had the steak with mustard mash (I highly recommend that). My partner had the ribs. Really big portions sizes we will be back for another visit
3rd visit for my birthday on 30/6 first time of trying something different from having a sharer. Hubby had ribs and I had chicken burger absolutely lush.
